Ammar Mahmoud Abu-Dreis holds a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering and Climate Change from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Jordan. He has 20 years of experience in the field of environmental consultancy, with a focus on solid waste management, municipal sector governance, and climate change. Ammar is the Founder and General Manager of Green Plans Company for Environmental Consultancy and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Development Dimension Company. He has served as an advisor to a number of international institutions and organizations, including the United Nations, the German Agency for International Cooperation, the World Bank, the Bill Gates Foundation, Deloitte, the Austrian Environmental Protection Agency, and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change in the UAE. Ammar has also contributed to the preparation of the national strategy for the management of municipal solid waste and its regional plans and has published several studies in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
