Iulia is a career Foreign Service Officer, serving as USAID/Jordan’s Natural Resources Management Officer. Prior to her current assignment, she served as Private Sector Engagement Lead and Development Finance Corporation(DFC) Liaison for USAID/Uzbekistan and was Acting Economic Growth and Environment Office Director. 

Before joining USAID, Iulia worked as Chief Operating Officer for FINCA Impact Finance in El Salvador, as Chief of Party for a USDA Food for Progress program, and was a consultant at Grassroots Business Fund, a global impact investing firm based in Washington DC. 

Iulia is an economist and a lawyer by profession, holding an MBA degree from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Securities and Financial Regulation from Georgetown University Law Center, and is a member of the New York State Bar.
